Tin ore is a low level ore that at this point isn't really necessary for anything much except for leveling your mining, jewelcrafting, blacksmithing, or maybe your engineering. It's a very easy ore to find when mining (that is if you are in tin ore zones) in lower level zones.
Since there are a lot of zones that contain tin I'll simply focus on two of what I consider the best zones to mine for this ore in. Keep in mind now that if you are mining tin in order to level up and eventually reach a skill level of 450 in mining that you might just want to skip mining and go out and smelt. Smelting will save you a lot of time and at low mining skill levels it really isn't that expensive. Now if you'd rather mine here is what I suggest.
First off, The Barrens. You may have already been to The Barrens while mining for copper ore. There are a lot of copper nodes in The Barrens and you'll have to stay close to the higher level mob areas in the zone in order to refrain from coming across lots of copper instead of lots of tin.
The second zone I'd recommend farming for tin in is Hillsbrad Foothills. The mobs will be in the 20-30 level range so if you are a low level be a bit careful. The Azurelode Mine in the southwest area of the zone is a great place to level in, or you can basically run a large loop around the zone and still come across a lot of tin ore.
